DRAWING ON JANUARY 29. ' The M'Hardy art union is to be drawn tk Uarr ri'i. been assured' that there will be no postponement. This promptitude alone is worthy of public appreciation, and it is anticipated that th 6 good people who are agreeable to do their bit by speculating half a crown tor the boys who have done theirs, by risking life and limb, will take full advantage of the last few days remaining in which to procure tickets in the Manawatu Patriotic Society's art union. The bank managers of Palmerston North are supervising the drawing of this art union. Ihe books of the art union have been open to public inspection from the beginning, and he committee are keeping weather-eye on the expenses. Numbered marbles are to be used for deciding who shall bo the lucky winner. Results will be published in the daily Press on January-31. The advertisement, containmg an application form for tickets, is appearing in this issue. Tickets may be reserved by telegraph.
