A Russian communique says:—"We repulsed the enemy's attempt to capture & hill north of ChaTtorysk." * HUNS'NEW SHELLS EXUDE PRUSSIC ACID GAS , (Rec. January 23, 5.5 p.m.) w Petrograd, January 22. Riga reports that the onemy in thß Dvinsk is using shells exuding prussic acid gas, the fumes of. which are active for five hours after, \vhile splinters of shells quickly kill even those slightly, wounded.
