SWIMMING
WELLINGTON CLUB. The annual meeting of the Wellington Swimming Club was hold last evening. Mr. D. K. Blair presided. The report stated that the club started the year £20 in arrears and finished it £11 in credit. Appreciation of the work which Mr. Grimmett had done among the juniors was expressed. Officers were elected as follows:—President, Mr. J. P. Maxwell; vice-presi-dents, Sir R-obert Stout, lion. A. L. Herdman, Hon. J. G. W. Aitken, and Messrs. W. E. Jackson, W. Cowan, J, P. Firth, J. P. 'Luke, J Fuller, I). IC. Blair, and H. Price; captain, Mr. R. J. Grimmett; vice-captain, Mr. A. M. Russell; lion, secretary, Mr. A. E. Bollard; treasurer, Mr. A'. M. Farnall; auditor, Mr. E. H. Cavell; starter, Sir. A. Jacobs; check starter, Mr. A. A. Somerville; liandicapper, Mr. A. Jacobs; committee, Messrs. A. Kelly, W. Meyer, A. A. Somerville, EI. Sullivan, A. M'Carlie; delegate to centro, Mr. T. Shields. Seven new members wore elected;
