On Monday night next, at the King's Theatre, the Ixuidou Ideal Co. will present their biggest success, the specially- "written adaptation of Albert Chevalier's famous coster songs, particularly "My Old Dutch" and "The Little Nipper," and the authors have taken {or their title the best-known and most .popular of the songs, "My Old Dutch." 'As all-the -world knows, the term is the endearing name tho London coster gives tx> his wife, and tlip picture shows the life of the "small tradesman," whoso shop is the London t striate, and whose show window is his I "barver," from courtship days till tho last sun is sinking. Albert Chevalier, I whose wonderful character acting in "The Middleman" will be remombemed, will play "Toe Spudd, the Coster," and Florence Turner will be seen as "Sally, his I old Dutch."
EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. "Trapped, by tho Flames," the eighteenth episode of "The Million Dollar Mystery,-' which is being produced at Everybody's Theatre, is as interesting ajul exciting as any cpisodo in this serial film. The siipgssrting pictures this week are all very good, and well worth Seeing. Monday will usher in the screenings of a really good programme, which is headed by a startling' novelty in dramatic pictures. In the subject, "The Underground River," realism runs riot, and the ait of the producer has been taken advantage of to the utmost extent. This picture ia tho ISth episode of 'The Million Dollar Mystery." Supporting subjects are, "Housekeeping Under Cover," a* World Film .star comedy; "When Conscience Sleeps," an Edison pathetic, domestic drama; "Think of the Money," a rollicking comedy; "The Gnumont Graphio" with tho latest news of the day. . EMPRESS THEATRE. ' Judging by the packed houses at the Empress Theatre this week, the 'Tirst Commandment," the first of a series of ton pictures, has secured the approval of picture-lovers. This week's latest Gazette is full of interest, on account of its many war pictures. Other pictures which deserve mention are "Boobley's Baby," "Tho Man of the Woods," and a very fine scenic, entitled "A Film' Trip to- Constantinople." On Monday the Empress will screen a special Lubin feature, with Romaine Fcilding as the star artist. This is a filming of tbe Californian mining story, by Shannon Fife, entitled "The Valley of Lost Hopo." The drama is described as an exceptionally realistic romance, dealing with the wild adventurous happenings of those days. A terrific train smash is a notablp incident of the film.
