Laing), 17, boat Kaikorai (AA r . AII- - 9. United (I. AVoolf), 23, beat Wellington (IS. J. Hill), 13. Second Hound. —Cliristehurch (It. Torrance), 21, beat Ponsonb.v (M. AAalker), 16. Newtown (J. Laughton), 20, beat' Canterbury (J. A. Hcdpath), 8. Uoslvn (E. Fountain), 30, beat Canterbury (11. Borland), 20. AVaimato (T. M. I Laing), 15, boat United (I. AVoolf), 13. Semi-final.—Christehureh (R. Torrance), 22, beat AVaimatc (T. M. Laing), 12. Newtown (J. Laughton), 20, beat Roslyn (E. Fountain), 13. This was Fountain's first) defeat in tho tournament. The ®ial will be played on Saturday afternoon. A match was also played to-day between teams representing the North and South Islands, the North Island winning by 339 to 260.
