STOCK VALUES IN THE NORTH
A return has just been compiled by tho North Auckland Farmers 1 Co-opera-tive, Ltd., showing tho comparative values of stock in the north during tho last few years. In 1908 tho average price for cattle was £3 6s. 3d. for tho five months, July to November inclusive; in 1914 the average price was £5 16s. lid. for tho same period; iu 1915 the average "was £6 14s. 6d. As illustrating tho effect of the war, .an average has been struck for September, 1913, and September, 1915, and this shows that in the 1913 period the average price for cattle was £4 16s. od., "wliilc in tho 1915 period it was £5 12s. 3d. Tno price of sheep has also increased 111 a marked degree. In 1908 the average prico of sheep was 13s. 5d.; in lfii-1 it was 16s. lid., and in .1915 £1 4s. (3d.
