MANUKA LEAVES SYDNEY. Advice was received by thp local office of tho Union Company last evening that tlie Manuka had sailed for Wellington at. 10 p.m. on Thursday. Duo here late on Monday afternoon, the vessel has 118 6aloon and 93 steerage passengers to land et this port, as well as 624 tons of cargo. She will go on to Lyttelton on Tuesday, returning to Wellington m timo to sail for Sydney at 5 p.m. on Thursday next. RUAHINE DUE TO-MORROW. Shortly before noon yosterday the New Zealand Shipping Company's Kuahips left Auckland in continuation of her journey from London to Wellington. The liner should show up here to-morrow afternoon. KAURI AT SUVA. A cablegram has been received stating that the Union Company's Kauri arrived at Suva on Wednesday from Napier. Tho vessel Is bound from New Zealand to San Francisco with a'full load of wool. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Captain C. A. Colonna, Lloyd's surveyor at Lyttelton, who has been relieving the surveyor at Brisbane for some little time, returned to Lyttelton on Wednesday last. Captain E. T. Tho collier Komata, which left WestpoTt at 12.40 p.m. yesterday, has a particularly large cargo of. coal to land here. The shipment consists of 2944 tons. Tho Kamo, which cleared Westport bar last evening, has a very large quantity of coal on board for' this port. Before proceeding on to northern porta sit 5 p.m. on Monday, the Monowai will discharge 739 tons of southern cargo at Wellington. It i? reported that tho Karamu will clear tie Fiji Islands, fruit-laden, next Tuesday, for Auckland and Wellington. The northern port should be reached about January 16. The Kurow has been fixed to load at Westport for Auckland and Fiji. The Waihora is duo at Auckland from Calcutta to-morrow, and at Wellington about January 13. The Shaw-Savill liner Kia Ora, whioh is at present taking in London cargo at papier, will leave there for Wellington on Tuesday. Being duo hero on January 9, an endeavour will be mode to . dispatch tho vessel for Homo on Friday, January 14. It will be Tuesday next beforethe Corinna will arrive at Wellington from the 60iit.h, not Sunday as at first intended. A Press Association message states that, tho New Zealand Shipping Company's Kaikoura, which cleared Wellington on Saturday, November 20, for London, arrived at her destination on Wednesday, January 5. The Government steamer Hinemoa lias returned to Wellington .from her visit to Cook Strait. She will be dispatched on her periodical visit to northern lighthouses early next week. Under the auspices of tho New Zealand Shipping Company the chartered steamer Limi'rlclt is at present loading frozen meat at Waitara. She is expected to leave that port for Wanganui this evening, and, will come on to Wellington to complete, It.M.S. Makuna is due at Auckland from Vancouver, via Honolulu and Suva, cn Monday morning next. 1 She will leavo for Sydney dtfectat 11 p.m. the same day.. The Makura has 146 passengers on board for Auckland. . The Shaw-Savill liner Athcnic will bo dispatched for London either on Monday or Tuesdoy next. The Poheiua will arrive at Wellington to-morrow. She will bring 2364 bales of wool for transhipment to the Dal more, and after discharge, will proceed on to the West Coast ports on Monday. In his annual report to the Nelson Harbour Board Captain Collins, harbourmaster, stated:—During tho year 1765 vessels entered and left the port, including six ocean-going stea-mors, one intercolonial steamer, and eight intercolonial sailing vossels, tho total register tonnage being 349,203, against 331,702 £jr ' 1914. an increase of 7501 tons for 1915.
