The advortised time for closing mails by . steamer? is liable to alteration (earltor or later) at any moment.. The parcel-post ma.il per Main Trunk express oloses at the C.P.O. at 11.30 a.m., and for tho. south, ®er ferry steamer, at б.45 p.m. Late letters for mails beyond tho Dominion cannot in future be posted on the steamerß.. but must be posted in the leteletter posting-box at tho Chief Post Office up tu tho appointed time shown on tha mail notice. Parcels for dispatch by steamers and trains with the exception of the usual ferry steamers for offices, close at the Chief Post Office, Wellington, ono hour before the advortised time of closing of mails. As the last clearance of tho city receivers is made at 5.45 p.m. oh Saturdays, all correspondence for the Sunday night Auckland express must be posted at the Chief Post Office not later than 8 p.m. cn Sunday. . All books and sample-packets and newspapeiie for places within the Dominion must bo postod half an hour before the ordinary .letter-mail closes. • Unless otherwise specified, registered letters and parcels-post, packages must be handed in and money-orders obtained one hour before the ordinary mail closes. The .public are earnestly requested to register all letters containing money- or valuables intended to be sent by post. All tho principal mails by train and steamer close at Te Aro and Oourtcnay Place Post Office at the same hours as at the Chief Post Office, with the exception that there is is no late fee clearance, and that mails by the ferry steamers for southern offices close at 5.45 p.m. Mails for Auckland and Auckland district, per Second Main Trunk express, close at Courtenay Place at 5.45 p.m. and To Aro at 8 p.m. A.
