M HARDY GIFT ART UNION
THE LAST MONTH. Those who have taken up tickets in the M'Hardy Gift Art Union, or who intend doing so, are reminded that it will bo drawn positively on Saturday, January 29, and the result will bo advertised on January 31. The art union is being supervised by a of business men, aud "the berks arc open to inspection by anyone interested. During tho next three weeks there will no doubt be a keen demand for tickets. All who wisli to take a chance of an independence for life, and at the same time help our brave soldiers at the front, will procure a few tickets without delay. The corner section ol' land in Palmerston North, which forms the prize, is valued at 0630f10, but_ the winner will have the option of receiving .-fi!i000 in cash instead of tho land. The money received by the committee will not be allowed to lie idle in the Dominion, but will go at once to buy comforts for New Zealanders in hospital or in the firing-line. Tickets are obtainable at leading tobacconists and booksellers, or by post from Grant Sim, Box 229, Palmerston •North.
