Sir Thomas Mackenzie was born In Edinburgh in March 10, 1854,' and whilst quito a child came out to Now Zealand with "' his parents, who .' settled m Dunedin.- Sir Thomas was educated -in the North Dunedin School, better known in those early days' as ''-the Stone School." .
