BRICKLAYERS' CONFERENCE

The bricklayers continued in conference yesterday at tbe Trades Hall. Discussion was continued on tho scheme of national organisation. It was decided, to grant and accept clearances from Australia. Tlie following motions wore also passed :—"That in view of Judge Stringer's departure from all precedent relating to exemption of public companies or institutions, the federation devise means whereby pressure may be brought to bear on the Government to amend tho Arbitrati6n and Conciliation Act; that whenever a dispute arises it shall be mandatory to attach each and every person or public conecrn who employ workers engaged in tho industry, whether in competition with employer or not." Also: "That tho federation bring pressure to hear upon the Minister of Labour regarding the exemption of the Governmmt/ from all awardi."
