SOLDIERS' ROOM
Mrs. Firth and a party of friends have been busy decorating the Soldiers' Room, Sydney Street, for Christmas Eve festivities. The "colours" now so dear to all Britishers are brightly displayed everywhere, and on the wall in large letter's are t'he touching words "God bless' our soldiers here and at/ the front." There will be a light lunch provided on Friday, arid for the evening : an attractive programme has been arranged. The evening's entertainment will bo of a social nature, and the president, Mrs. W. F. Massey, and the committee extend a cordial welcome to all soldiers. The Count-ess of Liverpool will be present at nine o'clock.
