' BURNSIDE MARKET. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.! Dunedin, December 21. There was a. small yarding of fat cattlo at Burnside to-day, about 100 being penned. The quality on the whole was only fair. ' Butchers' requirements were practically for lamb, and despite the small entry prices for medium quality cattle were much the eame as last week, though extra prime advanced ICs. Extra prime bullocks, to £20 155.; good, .£l4 to £16; medium, £11 ss. to £13 10s.; light, £9 to £10 10s.; prime heifers and cows, £11 to £13; good, £9 to £10 10s.; light and. unfinished, £7 to £8 ss'. There was a very small yarding of fat sheep, • only 1023 being penned, the bulk consisting of shorn ewes and wethers. The e«le opened with'prices firm at last week's rate, but as it progressed values, advanced. , about Is." 6d.'" 'Extra," prime woolly! wetlierß, ■to 405.; extra prime woolly ewes, to 375. There was a large yarding of fat lambs, 1152 being penned. The bulk were really good. For prime lambs the demand was keen. Prices were fullymp to last week's rates. Extra prime, to 25a.; good, 215., 225. 9d.; medium, 195., 20s. 6i; light,; 145., 17s. 6d.'; small and unfinished, to 12s. There was a. small yarding of fat and store pigs. Baconers were in: good demand, prices comparing favourably: with last week s rates.
