An officer writes: "Here is a true yavn. • A medical officer at- the front who was helping to extricate tlie wounded in the pitch dark, while it was raining .in torrents, heard a scream. . Ho picked up a- rifle and. started potting. By good luck he got his bag, thanks to many lights going up. It was a Bosche sniper dressed in a khaki tunic; who was evidently polishing off tho wounded with a bayonet."
