INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION
The) monthly meeting of the Genera] Committee of the Wellington Industrial Association was hold last evening, the presidont (Mr. F. J. Evans) occupying the chaii\ . Tho secretary (Mr. H. P. Allen) reportedl that tho date of the Dominion Conference of Industrial Associations at Christohurch had been definitely fixed for January 18, 1816. The delegates representing the local association are: The president, Messrs. T.' Ballingor, 0. B. Norwood, L. T. Watkins, and? the secretary. It iva6 decided to invite the Employers' Associations of Wangamii, Palmerston North, Napier, and Masterton to send delegates to the conference. Accounts amounting to £32 6s. Bd. were passed l for payment, and tho association's cash assets won reported to amount to £1161 13s. 10d. - Mr. Watkins reported that at the last meeting of the committeo which is arranging the British, Commercial, and Industrial Patriotic Exhibition to be held in the Town Hall early in the New Year, all tho Hoor space, with the exception of three stands, was allocated to applicants. The estimated expenditure was £400, and receipts to that amount were already assured, £260 in cash being now in hand.
