NAVY LEAGUE PRIZES

More than a thousand essays have heen written by children at the Wellington State schools on the subject of /'What Naval Disaster Would Mean to the British Empire, , and to New, Zealand in Particular.' The prizes are to be.given out at the respective-, schools to-day, and the Navy League has suggested to the headmasters that special reference should be made at the prize-giving ceremony 'to tho great work of The Silent' Navy" prior to and during the ww.
