The advertised time for closing maile by steamers is liable to alteration (earlier or later) at any moment. The parcel-post mail, per Main Trunk express, closes at the C.P.O. at 11.30 a.m., and for the south, per ferry steamer, at 5.45 p.m. Parcels for dispatch by steamers and trains, with the exception of the usual ferry steamers for southern offices, close at tho Chief Post Office, Wellington one hour before the advertised time of closing of mails.
