Tho owners of the above estate report that sections are selling readily. About 30 have -already been disposed of, comprising about 10,000 acres. Most of the settlers, it is reported, aro making extensive improvements, and several thousand acres have been ploughed and' aro now under crop. To meet tho growing demands for storage accommodation, the railway -authorities have ■ decided to enlarge the goods shod. Thero is a com-fortable-private hotel on the estate, and a_ recent buyer of one of the town sections is about to erect a general store, Post Office, and telephone bureau. There are . three welUformed roads through the property,- and ono can motor from tho railway' station to the back. The vendors will be pleased for prospective buyers to visit tho estate, when they will SO3 some excellent demonstrations. One settler has 280 acres of oats, of first quality, and others have smaller areas under the same crop, whilst many are preparing the ground for extensive sowing of turnips. On one of the sections about 60 acres of ryegrass- ad clovers were sown in the early part of this year, and the results are furnishing evidence that the land, by careful treatment, is capable of growing tho best of grasses, so necessary for dairying and fattening. Should any practical farmer require to satisfy himeolf as to whether or not this land will hold the grass, he oan visit tho farm of Mr. W. Carr Rollett adjoining, where thero is to be seen some of the finest pasture in the Waikato-Valley. This has boon down about five years.
