Messrs. Dalgcty and Company, Limited, Wellington, report having held, their usual weekly Levin sale 011 Wednesday, when they offered a small entry of sheep and a good yarding of cattle. Bidding was not very keen for the stock offered, but <it the close of tho day they disposed of the bulk of the entry under the hammer. Shorn fat ewes, to 225.; mixed slioru two-tooth wethers, 12s. Id.; shorn liOEKcts, to 12s. 6d.; store cows, £5 to £5 56.; two-year steers, £4 12s. to £4 155.; two and a half to three-year steers, £6 lfe to £7 Us. fid.; four-year bullocks, to £13; eighteen-month heifers, £2 12s. to £3 25.; weaners, 17s. 6d., 235., to 345.; yearling heifers, £3 2s. Competition for all classes was exceptionally keen, and a total clearance was made under the, hammer and privately. Fat ewes and wethers, shorn, to 245. 6d.; a line of small foiirtooth wethers, shorn, off the hills, 19s. 9d.; fat cows, £7 10s., £7 17s. 6d.. to £9 Is.; fat "heifers, £5 25.; empty heifers, £4 25., £4 10s., to £5 25.; store cows, £4 125.; eighteen-month steers, £4 165.; three-year steers, £7 155.; yearling steers, to £2 45.; forward cows, to £6.
