FURTHER PARTICULARS By Telegraph—Press Association—CoDjriftht Shanghai, December 8. 1 Thirty young revolutionaries, somo of whom were formerly naval students, boarded the Chao So_ at dusk, and received permission to inspect tho vessel. They suddenly drew revolvers, seized the commander, secured the koy of tho magazine, and over-awed the crew, killing four and wounding five. ! i'hey then ordered the gunners to firo on the arsenal, but the gunners elevated their guns only, and aid not hit. It was unfortunate that the -foreign settlement received effective shots. The warships in tho harbour refrained from firing on tho Chao So, but tlie shore batteries opoued fire, and dispatched boarding parties, which, however, returned before the man hunt. Three well-placed shots at daybreak absorbed the oozing courage of the revolutionaries, who oscaped in a launch. (Reo.
