GERMAN PRISON CAMP IN ENGLAND

LIFE AT DONNINGTON HALL. By Telegraph—Frees Association—Oopyrleht London, Deoember 6. Three German lieutenants, named Hertzog, and Langebach. war prisoners, are about to be court-mar-tialled at Donnineton Hall. Hertzog is accused of striking a non-com. who barred his entrance to 'the dinine hall at a prohibited hour. The others are charged with defying a regulation in not surrendering civilian clothes.-

As several escapees have been found to be well provided with Entrlish money, the prisonprs are now paid in aluminium tokens of three values— sixpence, a. shilWng, and half a crown— which aTe only honoured at the canteens. '

The prisoners at Donnington Hall devote themselves to study rather than to athletics. Thes. have classes in chemistry and metallurgy, and even a class in English.

The naval men devote themselves to naval construction and the effect of gun-fire. Tho most popular pastime is map-drawing, in which a remarkable knowledge of the contours of tlio British lines is displayed. The airmen make models of aircraft. Some do not forget their duelling davs, but as the Germans aro poor hands with their fists, biting and scratching: is not uncommon in settling disputes.
