OUTSPOKEN PRESS COMMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright , (Rec. December 5, 5.5 p.m.) New York, December 4. Outspoken editorials in the "World" and "Tribune" declare that immediately on the meeting of Congress the Republicans in both Houses should table a resolution calling upon tho- President to suspend diplomatic relations with German}- until the German Government disavow [the Lusitania crime, apologises for the insult to American honour, and agrees t-o submit to Tho Hague the question of reparation' in money for the murders committed. The articles add: "Such a course might mean war, but it should be followed regardless of consequences." The "Tribune" says: "President Wilson not only betrayed tlie national lion, our, but misrepresented American sentiment and tradition. We do not believe that the mass of the Americans are a peace-at-any-price people: they are tired of the sham sentiment and cowardly politico} evasion. Americans would have responded to courageous i leadership and action at whatever cost."
