HOSPITAL SHIP MARAMA
!'■■' VISITED BY LARGE NUMBERS. Yesterday morning. the authorities announced that the hospital ship Marama would be open for inspection by the pub-: lie betwen the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Through 'the medium of the newspaper notice boards this privilige was announced to the public, and as-a result many hundreds of people availed themselves of the opportunity of inspecting the magnificent floating hospital which New Zealand is sending to the Mediterranean. Orderlies were placed at strategic points to explain the vessel's equipment and to keep the .people on the mo/e, and very efficiently' and courteously did they perform their duties. The Marama will have a staff of 62 Red Cross orderlies, and another 80 orderlies will go forward with her to Egjpt for work in the base hospital there. . About eighteen hands came up with the Marama to finish off the'fitting work.
