WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE "FRENCH RELIEF FUND"? B.v TslegraDli—Press Association—Cojjriglit London, December 2. _ Curious correspondence has beon published in relation to tho fund called I "The French Relief Fund," which raised £.140,000 for tlio relief of civil victims of tlio war in Franco and organised the French Flag Day on July 14. The letters show that Sir John Simon (Home Secretary), Mr. Churchill, Mr. Lloyd George, tlio Marquis of Crewo, Mr. Chamberlain, Mr. Bomir Law, and Lord Kitchener removed their names'from the patrons' list.
