(By Telegraph.—! rs. Association.! Auckland, December 2, tale—Waihi, 365. 3d. Duncdln, December 2. Sale reported—Dominion Rubbers, 225. 3d. ROSS GOLDFIELDS. The mine superintendent of the Ross Goldfields reports as follows on the work at the mine for the week ending November 25:—The progress in No. 2 east drive woo 20ft. in 3ft. of pay-wash, making a total progress of 1040 ft. from No. 2 slioot. At 1017 ft. No. 16 south drive was started, but «ft-jr advancing 9ft. encountered the clay bar, and the last two sets were in the low grade, fine wash on the other side of it. The east drive off No. 12 south advanced 17ft., the . clay making a bend to the north-east, which accounts for it appearing in No. 16 south. Jilteking is proceedinir off Nos. 7, 9, and 11 north drives. Unfavourable weather prevailed during the week, and three separate transmission line interruptions occurred, stopping underground work for six ehifts. The mine manager of the Murray CreekGold Mining Company. Limited, advises by telegram that 547 tons of quartz were crushed in November, yielding 554 ounces of melted gold, aleo 300 tons of sands were cyanided, producing 4B ounces of bullion. The approximate value of the return Is £2360. Distance driven on reef in No. 3 level 174 ft., width of reef in face sft.
