SCOTCH CONCERT

—: —*-j There was a good attendance last even-' irig at the patriotic Scotch concert', held in the Municipal Concert Chamber under the auspices" of the Scottish Society and the Pipe Band of Wellington, in aid of the Wounded Soldiers' Fund. The'promoters of the concert arranged an excellent programme, and should see a reward in the shape of a handy addition to the fund. The bill contained almost wholly Scottish fare, and it was highly acceptable. The audience appreciated it to the full, and extracted many, an encore from the performers. Among the artists was Mr. 1). M'Tavish, whose humorous work was capital. His "Memroies of Lauder" were very cleverly 'done, and his humorous songs showed that lie is a master mirtli-provoker.
