PETONE ROWING CLUB

At tbe annual meeting of the Petone Rowing Clubj Mr. K. Moore presiding, the following officers were elected:— Patron, Mr. R. Mothes; president, Mr. A. G. Saunders; vice-presidents. Messrs. A. Anderson, J. Cot'ton. H J Palmer, R. W: Short, J. M'Parlaud, j! Drummond, J. Mason, C. Burridge, R. C. Kirk, J. Martin, and J. Leibezeit; captain, Mr. R. Moore; vice-captain, Mr. M. Miles; secretary, Mr. J. E. Wilson; treasurer, Mr. C. H. Burridge; committee, Messrs. L. Drummond, A. Glading, J. Ingham, D. M Leod, J. Kirk, E. Tempest, and Hume; regatta selection committee Messrs. R. Moore, A. Glading, and g! H. Burridge; delegates Wellington Rowing Association, Messrs. R. Moore J. E. Wilson, and C. H. Burridge; club race committee, Messrs. J. 'Ingham L ,Drummond, and J. The balance-sheet showed the club's finances to be sound. .

Resolutions of sympathy., with the relatives of the late Stewart M'Farlane and Robert Careno, two members who fell'in.action, were passed. " Mr. Alex. Anderson (ex-captain) was elected a life-member, and Mr. B. Tremain, retiring captain, was accorded a vote of thanks.

Tho club has seven memßers at the front and several are .waiting to be called up.
