' CONCERNING THE ASHBURTON. As previously stated the closing of the Panama Canql until the end of the year has caused considerable inconvenience to the New Zealand Shipping Company in that the steamship Asliburton was loaded with the Idea, that she would' go via Panama, first to New. Zealand, and then to Australia. The day before ebe sailed, however, camo tho news of the blockade, and orders were given to the vessel to proceed via Cape of Good Hope. Now, owing to the stowage of her cargo, the vessel will have to steam to New, Zealand first and back to ! Australia,' -which will entail considerably more exponse than if tho cargo had originally been stowed for a Xoyago via the Cape.
