The mine manager of the Hauraki Reefs reports as follows:—During the po«t week stoping over the No. 3 level has been in progress, and good quartz came to hand. The No. 3 level face was driven "U've feet, and ■ produced a little picked stone. JA. well-defined reef is now showing in the No. Z, level face, and at present is producing 6ome good gold-bearing quart. The crossout to intersect the Wynyardton reef is out 20 feet in good country. The clean-up at the battery resulted in a return from 20 tons general dirt and 2101b. picked Btono of 4540z. melted gold, value 4bout £1310.
