The Russian newspaper "Novoe Vre- i mya" points out .thai despite the official intimations of the Persian Government that it is suppressing German intrigues, the Gerjnan Minister at Teheran lias not been expelled, nor is he in prison. The gendarmerie has gone over to the enemy. German officers are in command, and are now fortifying the passes in order to defend the approaches from tho Turkish frontier. ■ Nearly all the Persian forces are concentrated at Kum Hainabar, whero Swedish, Turkish, and German officers are straining every effort to create a rupture and plunge Persia into war against the Allies.
