The King's progress is good, but the aovcre bruising and wrenching of the muscles and sinews prevents him from moving as freely as could bo wished. Corporal James Hinchcliffo, of the Bth-.West Ridins Regiment, who was wounded in the leg by shrapnel at the Dardanelles, was'married in the presence of a large number of his wounded comrades as lie lay in bed in the Perth .V.A.D. Hospital, -An interesting story is published in the "North Devon Journal", from the pen of one who has just Toturned frcm i visit to the Island of Urk, in the Zuyder Zee, whore his son, a naval officer, is interned. Life is not very exciting there, and tennis and walks round the island—which is only three miles in.circumference—are about the only forms of recreation open to tho officers. There are 28 of them—2l Bolsian, three French', and four British.- The wooden barracks aro surrounded by wire '.entanglements, arid when tho officers go beyond this they aro followed by a Dutch soldier with loaded rifle and fixed bayonet. It takes three-quarters cf an hour's fairly brisk walking to get rcund the island, and tho Dutch soldiers find it difficult to keep up when the officers sot this pace. It is.stated that in order to keep tho officers in sight the. guards have to cut across parts cf the island and do some doubling,
