BRITISH BULLDOG CLUB

1 The British -Bulldog Club held its an--3 niial parade at Kelburn Park oh Saturday, there being a really fino display of 5 good dogs. . Mr./H. ofheiated 1 as judge, and Lis decisions gave gen'eraj ; ! satisfaction. The attendance of tho pub- | lie was good, and it was remarked that the standard of bulldog was rising. Appended are the prize-winners:—Best dog: Mr. A. Brown's Tyneside Lad (special). Best-head dog: Mr. A. Brown's Tyneside Lad. Best-fronted dog: Mr. Karantze's Baron Swasher. Best-bodied dog: Mr. Brown's Tyneside Lad. Best bitch: Mr. H. Wheeler's Zena (special). Best-headed bitch: Mr. Wheeler's Zena. Best-fronted bitch: Zena. Bestbodied bitch: Zena. Tlie special prize 1 for the best adult dog, irrespective of sex, was awarded to Tyneside Lad, with > Zena second. In-the dog puppy classes, Mr. E. Holloway's Sir Tantalus won ' in every class, also the special for best 1 dog pup. In the bitch puppy classes the awards were: —Best bitch puppy, Mr. J. Siever's Tynesido Annie (special); best-headed bitch puppy, Mr. A. ' Ferguson's Shield; best-fronted 'bitch puppy, Mr. Ferguson's Shiela;- bestbodied bitch puppy, Mr. Siever's Tyneside Annie. The special prizo for th'o best, pup, irrespective of sex, was awarded to Tyneside Annie, Sir Tantalus being second. The judge complimentedexhibitors on the quality of the exhibits, and the marked improvement in the standard of dogs,. adding that prizewinners had reason to be proud of thoir dogs, the average dog exhibited being well up to the average of those benchcd in England for competition. It is probable that a further parade will be held a little later on. in conjunction possibly with some patriots movement.
