The Prussian War Minister has forbidden soldiers at the front to send Christmas cr New Year greetings home, as tlio authorities do not wish to give the soldiers an opportunity of expressi»K their well-known wishes for an early termination of the war. The Kaiser is oxpected to send out a message to the nation urging the people to omit all the customary celebrations apd pass the holidays in working.
