BAPTIST BIBLE CLASSES
COMBINED SPORTS MEETING. Favoured with • ideal weather conditions, the combined sports meeting of the Baptist Bible Classes, held on Saturday at Wakefield Park, attained a very large measure of success. Tho ovents passed off without any delay, and Mr. T. Wilson, who acted in the capacity of starter, gave every satisfaction. The serving of afternoon tea considerably enhanced the afternoon's enjoyment. Tho Vivian C:ass scoured the challenge cup for the class scoring the highest number of points, with a total of 58 points, with Brooklyn second with 41 points, and Berhamporo, the present holders, third, with 32 points. Tho 1 fu or ,^! Ie competitor scoring the highest individual points was won W J- Lyes, of Brooklyn, with W. Churchill, of Vivian Street, a close second. The ovents were keenly contested, the finishes of the mile and relay races being particularly fine, whereas the high jump brought out several good jumpers.
