Goodger's lease of Sections 119, 123 and 129, Haeti&i township, and issue a separate lease for each section at tho same rental, in terms of Sections 10 arid 12 of tlio Public Bodies' leasing Powers Act, 1908.

It was resolved- to approve of tho appointment of Sir. Wm. Vickers as substitute for residence on Section 5, Block XVI, Kaitieke, held by his wife, Mrs. 1. C. Vickers.—Approved. It was resolved • to offer tho Kaitieke County Council a temporary permit to occupy part Section 5, suburbs of Kaitieke, and part- Township Reserve, Kaitieke, containing in all approximately 8 acres, from year to year, at an annual rental of £1 10s—Approved. It was resolved to offer' Mr. D. C. Canton, acknowledging on behalf of his mother the board's letter of condolence relative to the death of her son! while he was in action at the Dardanelles—Received. ' It was' resolved to authorise the , following payments out of deposit with application No. 23594 made, by W. M'Kay for Section 20, Block XVI, Huangarua:— Gawith and Logan, costs of -release, £2 4s. 6d.; District Land Registrar, registration fees, 10s.; total, £2 14s. 6d. —Approved. It was resolved to determine the pormit granted to J'. P. Ward to occupy part Section 38, Block X, Huiiua, 10 acres, as from March 30, 1915, and to write off 10s. jent not recoverable. —Approved, It resolved to allow Messrs. Stevens and M'Pheraon to remain in occupation of Section 121, Manunui suburbs, } acres 2 roods, for a further period of twelve months from July 1, 1915, at a rent of i! 3 per annum.—Approved. It was resolved to re-otfer Section 54, Block 11, H'unua S.D., 1 acre 0 roods 8 perches, as a villago homestead on renewable lease at an annual rent of £1 4s.—Approved. Tho Egmont Box Company, Ltd., applied for a year-to-year lease of the cleared portion of Whakapnpa Island, about 10 acres, and it was resolved to grant it under Section 130 of the Land Act, 1908, at a rent.of ,£3-per annum.—Approved. In 'continuation of the board's resolution of October 28, with regard to Section 2, Block XV, Horopito West Township, it was resolved to reduce tho rent to £2 per annum—Approved. In. continuation of tho board's rosolnh tion of Octobor 28, with regard to Section 2, Block I, Horopito Wtst Township, it was resolved to reduce the rent to ;C2 10s. per annum, and the value of improvements to .£s.—Approved. It was resolved to authoriso the payment to the Public Works Department of .£45, the amount received for buildings erected -by it on part Section 28, Eakaunui V.S.—Approved.
Applications were received from Messrs. G. Lenny and H. C. Wedde for Sections 2a and 3b, Block XI, 'Kaitieke S.D., 3 acres 2 roods 39 perches.. It was resolved to decline Mr. Wedde's application and to recommend that Mr. Gordon Lenny be allowed to select them for cash under Section 131 of tho Land Act, 1908, at the pricc of .£37.—Approved.
It was resolved to grunt Mr. C. Le P. Honoro a license to occupy Sections 4, 5, 6. 7, and 8, Block XVII, Tforopito West Township, 4 acres 1 rood 27 perches, for a term of five years, urader Section 130 of the Land Act, 1908, at .i rent of JES per annum, Buibjoct to usual conditions and to no compensation being payable for any improvements that may bo effected. It was resolved to grant Mr. C.. Lc F. Honore a license to occupy .Sections 1 to 8, Block XVIII, l,x 2, 3, and 9 to 10, Block XVII, lloropito West Township, 19 acres 3 roods 15 perches, for a term of live years, under Section 130 of the Land Act, 1908, at a rent of 48 per annum, with right to remove improvements at end of term; ho buildings to be erected.—Approved. It was resolved to give .Jlr. P. Jl'Kay notice that his license to occupy parts Sections 2, 3, and 9, Block XII, Jianganui, 74 acres, will be determined on December 31, 1915, and to- approve of his being granted a permit to occupy the same land from year to year raider Section 130 of the Land Act, 1908, at a rent increased to .£ls.—Approved. With reference to the proposed sale of Section 1, Block XIV, Hangitoto, 163 acres 1 rood, by- public auction, under Section x*J2 of the Land Act, 1908, it .was resolved to offer for cash or deferred payment under the power now given by Section 6 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1915. —Approved. It was resolved to grant Mrs. A. M. Hobinson a permit to occupy "Section 2, Block XXI, Ohakuue Township, 39 perches, from year to year, at a rent of £2 10s. per annum, subject to the usual conditions.—Approved It was resolved to gi.-o notice to the present licensee of Section 6 and Part 9, Block ' VI, Apiti S.D., that her license to occupy will be determined on December 31 next, and to approve of the present occupier, Mrs. John Bruce, being granted a permit to occupy front year to year from, that date under Section ISO of the Land Act, 1908, at a rent increased to £H per annum.—Approved. It wa9 resolved to offer Section 35, Block 11, Makuri S.D., 7 acres, for cash and deferred payment, by public auction, as first-class land of special value, under Sec-
tion 132 of the Land Act, 1908, and its
amendments ,at an upset price of 481. (Land of superior quality for agricultural purposes) .—Approved.
It was resolved to offer tho three undermentioned lots as first-class land -under
Part 111 of the. Land Act, 1908, at the capital values shown:—Section 15, Block V, Hunua S.D., 151 acres 1 rood, capital value <£455; Section 16. Block V, Hunua S.D., 148 acres 3 roods 31 perches, capital value iE4SO; Section 17, Block V. •Hunua S.D., 112 acres 1 Tood 2 perches, capital value JS34o.—Approved.
It was resolved to offer the four undermentioned sections as second-class land under Part 111 of the land Act, 1908, at prices as under:—Section 7, Block ;V, Kuahine, 532 acres, J63 per acre; Section 8, Block V, Ruahine, 706 acres, ,£2 10s, per acre; Section 1, Block VI, Ruahine, 798 acres, £2 10s. per acre; Section 2, Block VI, Ruahine, 1458 acres, J3l 10s. per acre; and to recommend that tho ballot be held at Mangaweka not later than March 31, 1916.—Approved.
It'was,resolved to offer for cash by public auction the lots recently surveyed in Blocks 11, X, XI, Kaurimu, Township (excepting those that may be required for reserves), at the upset prices recommended by tho Banger. Owners of any improvements now on lots to he allowed one month from date of sale in which to remove or dispose of them.—Approved.

It was resolved to offer ten lots recently surveyed iii Block VI, Hunua S.D. (Block V, ICnkahi Extension), as first-class land, under Part 111, of the Land Act, 1908,' at capital values recommended by the surveyor—Approved.
Mr. E. Siggelkow applied for a rehearing of his case with regard to his application for Section 41, Block VI, Hunua S.D., and it was resolved to postpone consideration until a further report is received from the ranger.—Adjourned.

The ranger having reported that a fair rent for Sections 4, 5, B, 7, 8, and 9, M'Kenzie Village, 6 acres 1 rood, would ho ■£b per annum, it was resolved to give Mr. P. 0. Neilson notice that his present license will be determined on March 31, 1916, and to offer Mr. G. T. Cole a temporary permit to occupy under Section 130 of the Land Act, 1908, from year to year, at a rent of £5 per annum, subject to the usual conditions.—Approved.
A letter was received from the Hunter-' villa Chamber of Commerce suggesting that the Otamakapua Block be subdivided into-fmaller areas, and it was resolved to advise them that this matter is now under consideration and that the Land Board will inspect at an. early date.— Approved.
. With reference to Messrs. Mugridge's renewed application for portion of Section 8,. Block 11, Manganui S.D., it was resolved'to grant them n.licenso to occupy a strip of about two chains wide along front to main road from year to year under Section 130 of the Land Act, 1908, at a rent of 10s. per acre per annum, subject to the usual conditions; no compensation to be" payable for any improvements that may be effected. Any buildings erect?J to be at risk of licensee, and removable at end of term.—Approved..
It was Tesolved to grant Mr. C. Le F. Honore a license to take a'water-race for mill purpose through Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, b, Block XVI, Horopito West V.S., at a rent of £2 10s. per annum, and to approve of liis depositing sawdust in old .water-course near mill, provided~Commis. sioner is satisfied that it is causing no damage there.—Approvod.
With reference to Messrs. Pain. ■ and, 'Sutherland's sub-lease of Sections 1, Block V, and 1, Block IX, Wainui-oru S.D., 23971 acres (Longbush and Mahupuku Settlements), which will expire on Ueoember 20, 3915, _it was resolved to grant them a permit to remain in occupation for the present, month to month from that date, at the rent hitherto paid. It was resolved to give the licensee of Fart i of Section 19, Mangaono V.S., notice that his occupation license will be determined on June 30, 1916, and to approve of .Mrs. W. H. Sykes being granted a new permit to occupy from that date at a rent increased to Si ss. per annum.— Approved. With reference to Mr. Wilson's lease of part Section 375, Block V, Wairoa, which will be, determined on December 3, 1915, it waa resolved to alow him to remain in occupation from that dato for the present at a rent of JBI per month.— Approved. It was resolved to grant Messrs. Hart a jwrmit to 'occupy Sections 46, 47, 48, ■19, 51, 51, 65, 57, Block X, Poha'ngina Township, area 1 acre 3 rqods~2B porches, from year to year at a rent of ,£6 10s. por annum, subject to the usual conditions—Approved.
