November 24, 8.45 p.m.) London, November 24. , Mr, John Redmond (the Irish Nationalist leader), who returned from tho front in a troopship, attended an Irish rooruiting meeting at the Queen's Hall. He deolarod that ho had spent the most interesting, thrilling, and proudest week of his life. "Our troops are absolutely confident. There are no pessimists at the front. For every German shell on the Western front we throw five."Mr. Redmond gave the Ho direot to Lord St. David's recent allegation about young aristoorat shirkers on the Genoral Staff. The Irish troops, he added, hsd covered themselves with glory. I'elfast and Dublin men were fighting together, true comrades and brother Irishmen. "No power can turn these „boy 6 into enemies when they come home. I told King Albert that Ireland was determined to insist on the Belgains' independence at whatever sacrifice."
