OTAGO VOTES £2000.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Diinetlin, Novembbr 23. The Otago Patriotic Association, at a special meeting to-day,' , decided to grant £2000 for tlie provision of comforts for wounded and sick soldiers in the Mediterranean and English hospitals, and to accept the offer of the V'.M.U.A. to. distribute comforts in Egypt. Of the total, £1000 is to be 6ent to the War Contingent Association', London. Jt was also decided to grant £250 for the assistance of the Salvation Army work at-all the military camps in the North Island. This was opposed keenly by representatives .of tho Anglican and Catholic Ohurolies, on the ground that all denominations were doing similar work.
