'A substantial increase in the revenue for electric light for the month of October is shown in the returns presented to the Tramways Committee of tho_ City Council yesterday afternoon. It will be seen that the revenue increased by £537, whilst the working expenses were decreased by £193. Tho details are as follow :— 1915. 1914. Revenue £5,205 £4,668 Working expenses ... £2,280 £2,473 Capital charges £1,523 £1,623 Credit balance £1,402 £672 TJnits sold 294,442 258,374 Now connections for one month 156 125 Tho returns for tho seven months ended October 31 are as follow:— 1915. 1914.
