EARLY CLOSING OF. HOTEL j BARS. Br Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, November 22. The Presbyterian _ General Assembly passed a motion which included a provision that a committee bo appointed to ask Parliament to a special liquor restriction " Act providing that during the course of tho war, hotel bars should be closed from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. daily, and all day on holidays. It urged the Government to prohibit "treating" soldiers. and also to amend tho Licensing Act by providing that the majority necessary to carry- local No-License and National Prohibition he reduced to 56 per cent.
