ULTIMATUM PRESENTED TO GREECE

The German newspapers assert that the Allies will present an ultimatum to Greece. ' (Koo. November 21, 8.30 p.m.} London, November 19. i Athens messages do not confirm tlio German report that the Allies have delivered an ultimatum, but correspondents' messages tend to give credence to the; belief that important diplomatic developments . are pending which will immediately result in a change in tho present critical situation. There! is no news of Lord Kitchen ei, but correspondents assert that there are reasons to expect an important change within forty-eight hours. All new 3 of military value, including the dispositions of tho Allies' naval forces, which were last reported as consisting of an imposing array of vessels in Salonika, is now rigorously suppressed. .'' There are indications that the Serbians are hard pressed in the Monastir region, and are falling, back on'the Greek frontier, which is heavily guarded, but the general expectation is that tho Serbians won't be disarmed. Lord Kitchener's presence is a source of immense strength, and is calculated to impress King Constantino that tho time has come to abandon indeoision. LORD KITCHENER INTERVIEWS KING CJONSTANTINE. Athens, November 21. Lord Kitchener arrived on Saturday morning, and lunched at the Legation. King Constantino gave an audience to Lord Kitchener and Sir Francis Elliot (British Minister at Athens) which lasted for upwards of an hour in the afternoon. Lord Kitchener was 'loudly oheered at the Palace. Lord Kitchener's presence has somewhat allayed the anxiety aroused by the announcement that the Allies are determined to bring pressure to bear on Greece.. The announcement has caused indignation in official circles which' hold that the Government is seeking a solution satisfactory to the towers, and .compatible with Greece's dignity. i 'Lord Kitchener visited M. Tho Exchange Telegraph Agency reports that tlio Athens newspapers publish the British Legation communique stating that the Entente has declared an economic and commercial blockadc of Greece.
