London, November 17. Mr. C. F. Masterton (formerly Chancellor of the Duchv of Lancaster), in an article iu the "Daily Chronicle" undor the title "The Only Possible Peace Terms," says:—
"Mr. Asquith'6 idcols, interpreted unofficially, are that Belgium should bo restored her completp independence, Germany paying an indemnity, and adequately rcUuilding the ruined cities, the rovival of destroyed industries, compensation for disabled men and the relatives of tlio dead.
"France to receive Alsace and Lorraine, an indemnity, aud a natural defensive boundary, rendering a repetition of Gormany's attack for ever impos» siblo .
"Denmark to receive Schleswig. "Germau, Austrian, and Russian Poland to be united under the Tsar or his nominee.
"Italy to get Trentino an! the whole of the Italian irredenta.
"The Turkish Empire to be torn into fragments, and Armenia, Syria, Palestine, Mesopotamia, and Thrace divided' among those who will develop the countries, the Turks to be penned in Central Anatolia, w'hero they shall bo compelled to learn to work instead of to massacre.
"Sorvia to be restored, with a hoavy indemnity from Austro-Hungary, and to receive Bosnia and Herzegovina, with, adequate access to the Adriatic, and all Servian Austria.
"The German fleet to bo. surrendered, and divided - among the Allied ua« tions. Zoppelins and liangars to be burnt.
"The German colonies to remain trophies of the nations which conquered them."
