HOSPITAL CONTROL

MEETING OF THE HOARD. The monthly meeting of the Wellington Hospital and Charitable Aid Hoard was held yesterday. There were present: Mr. H. Baldwin (chairman), Mcsdamcs D. M'Larcn, T. M. Wilfonl, A. M'Vicar, Messrs. F. Castle, D. Campbell, H. Freeman. 1!. R. Gardener, W. Galloway, J. W. M'Kwan, F. T. Moore, 0. M. Lul;c', G. Nash, and G. J. Pethorick. The tenders of H. Williams (£97 55.) for supplying and installing boiler, etc., for the hot-water service at the Otaki Sanatorium have been accepted. The report for the month ending October 31, from the dental branch, .showed : Number of attendances, 213 ; number of out-patients, 79; number of ill-patients, 5; number of fresh patients, 40; fees received by cash, £26 13s. The Hospital Committee reported that authority had been received from the Government approving the proposed expenditure of £67 15s. on account of requirements of the military medical officer at the Victoria Hospital. The committee also reported that the tender of the Rev. Dr. James Gibb. chairman of St. John's Presbytery, of £300 per annum, with rates and insurances, for rental for three years of property No. 53 Hobson Street had been accepted as from November 18, 1915. On the recommendation of the Finance Committee accounts for the month amounting to £1607 6s. 4d. were passed for payment. A report for the financial year, on the farm products produced on the land attached to the Otaki Hospital and Sanatorium, showed the quantities and estimated values of milk, _ vegetables, potatoes, bacon, pork, fruit, and e»cs produced on the farm as f0110w:—6476 gallons of millc, at Is. per gallon, £323 165.; vegetables to sanatorium and hospital, £89 4s. 6d.; potatoes, 9 tons, £54 ; .bacon, 6711b., £26 lis. 2d.; fruit, £7: pork sold, £16 7s. 6d.: potatoes sold, £15 Gs.; total £532 ss. 2d;
