ROADWAY BLOCKED. By Telegraph—Press .Association. GhrlstchUi-ch, November 17. A message from Otira says the slips are more serious than was at first anticipated. A new road ' will havo to be blasted before the maib get through, and it is probable the trains will be hold up till Saturday. The Chief Postmaster at Greyjnouth has informed tho Secretary of the G.P.O. that owing to heavy rain the road between Arthur's Pass and Otira has been blocked by slips. There havo been no coaches since Monday, and it will probably be Friday before communication is open.
