Wy Telegrajjli.—Special Correspondent.) Masterton, November 1.7. The Masterton Horticultural Society held its annual rose and sweet pea show in the Drill Hall to-day. There was an excellent display of cut flowers and decorated tables. Miss D. Blaichford secured the championship for the best rose in the show, Mrs. T. M. Mitchell won the championship for the best sweet peas, and Miss A. Mitchell championship for pansies. Miss M. 11. Payton was awarded first prize for tho best decorated table.,

A schoolgirl travelling daily in -the train from Marton to "Wanganui; has in ten weeks collected £100 in aid of the Red Cross Funds.
