Down; Dew, and Glenyar got off badly. Halina was' the first to show out, and she led down.the back, well clear of Findhorn, Bellshire and Treadfire. At the end of three furlongs the two leaders had opened out a big gap from the rest of the field. They-turned for home with a good,'lead, and though Findhorn finished well, Halma won by half a length. Bellshire was three lengths away, with Rumania, Sir Tarka, Hards'aot, and MoiI dant next. Scotch. Melody got tho worst of the start. Three began smartly and soon opened out a gap, Meltchikoff, Kaminohe, Chakivana, and Daytime being prominent among the others. Running round the turn Bee moved up fast, and at the entrance to the straight she was in second place, Three being still out in front. Below the distance Bee ranged alongside Three, while Kaminohe, Chakwana, Daytime, and Meltchikoff were all handy. A fine finish ended in Chakwana winning by a neck from Bee, who beat.Three by a head.
