SHIRKERS AND MARRIAGE.

Sir, —I havo been struck with the figures quoted of young men (?) who are fit for the front and who have taken the opportunity to hide behind the skirts of womenfolk to dodge their responsibilities to their country. One of the things which it is hard to -understand is how any woman caii assist a man to shirk his duty, and I would.appeal to all young women to mako a stand and make men of tho young men. I would suggest to tho Government that it would be as well to refuse to issuo a license to any nmn of military age and physically fit who has not signed on for active service.—L am, etc., A WOMAN.
