TRENTKAM AFFAIRS, The following N.C.O.'s in the Bth Roinforcements have been appointed . second lioutenants on probation and posted to their present companies;—B Company, Sergt. A. G. The Bth Mounted Rides,, who bare been encamped at Tauherinikau, transferred to 'frentham on Saturday. The following temporary appointments of N.C.O.'s have been approved by tho Camp Commandant (LieutenantColonel H. R. Potter): — Btli Reinforcements—N.Z. Field Artillery: To be sergeants,- Corpls. J. E. Dudley; E. A. Hamilton, C. S. Spears, A. Brown; to bo corporals, Bombs. H. Stewart, G. \Y. Osborne, H. Fels; to bo bombardiers, Guns. D. J. Alabaster, A. Ramsay, D. K. Jeffs. N.Z. Engineers—To .be sergeant, Corpl. G. E. Towns; to be corporals, Leo.-Corpls. AY. AY. Diggle, AY. 15. Patterson; to bev lance-corporal, Spr. B. H. Turner. . Sergeants T. Y. Secldon and AY. Downie Stewart have qualified by examination for appointment to commissions. It is the intention of tho field officers' mess to give a farewell dinner to the officers of the Bth Reinforcements at 6 p.m. on AYednesday, at the mess room, Trentliam.' A concert is to follow at 7.30 p.m., and supper at 10.30 p.m. Arrangements have been made for a special train at 11.30 p.m. from Trentbam to AYellington. Officers' wives and friends are cordially invited to the concert, dance, and supper. RETURNINC TO THE WAR.
