TO-DAY IS THE LAST DAT. This is the last day- of the perioJ within which male inhabitants of Now Zealand between tho ages of 18 and 60 years have to return their registration cards. The penalty for neglect is a fine, which may bo heavy. Tho maximum fino is £100. Already the Registrar lias received about 100.000 cards, and lie oxpccts to receive upwards of 150,000 more.
