The British steamer Rio Lages (8591 tons), which was afire in mid-ocean, has returned and reported that an incendiary bomb was discovered in a sugar cargo. The steam hose enabled the, crew to control the outbreak until.the vessel's return. The cargo is consigned to' the British Sugar Commission,. Queenstown, and was loaded by AustroGerman stevedores at Y linkers, New lYork.
