FRUIT FOR BLUEJACKETS
Donations have been received by Lieutenant Nimmo for his sdheme of supplying the bluejackets of the Pyramus, Philomel, and Pioneer with fruit: from the following:—Mrs. Bryenten, Mrs. Reynolds, Mrs. Yarrell, Mr. Ball (Nai Nai), The Stoke Canning Works, Mr. Lester (Levin),_ Mrs.' Rigby, Mrs; H. Inniss, Mr. Smith, Mr. Gray, Tlie Customers of Mr. Dillon (grocer), Miss Ethel Nathan, Mr. George Mee, Mr. Huntly Elliott (Lower Hutt), Mrs. Nicholls, Mrs. Collio, Laery and Co., Ltd., Mrs. Clennell, Mrs. H. B. Mason, A Sailor Boy, Mrs. Roberts, Mrs. Marchbanks, "M" (Oriental Bay), Mrs. It. W. Waterhonse, Mrs. Seamon, "A Friend," "A Friond of tho Troops," "A Sympathiser," "A Sympathising Friend," Hill Bros., Miss Montgomery, Mr.s. iJallingoi', a liberal donation from Mr. Birch (of Marten), and liberal donations from tlie peoplo of Manawatu.
A .young son of Dr. J. S. 'Elliott, after winning a raco at, school sports yesterday, obtained tlireo tins of fruit in exchango for his prize, and donated them to the fund.
Liniitoiiaiit Nimmo anticipates that tho people of tlie Wairarapa district will bo tho next to come forward with donations for the fund. Tho different districts aro all responding liberally.
